Blanket New Orleans

Blanket New Orleans

GU Blanket New Orleans is dedicated to serving the citizens of New Orleans through making personal connections and helping individual families clean out and rebuild their homes.

During the alternative spring break trip, we will partner with ACORN--a community organization in New Orleans.  We will rebuild homes by  hanging sheetrock, painting and other reconstruction projects.

30 students will drive to New Orleans and stay at Highland Baptist Church in New Orleans.  We will learn about the culture of New Orleans through food and music and the stories of home owners.  The trip fee is $180.00 for participants and $150.00 for drivers.
