Provides health care for primarily Spanish­-speaking HIV patients. Volunteers who do not speak Spanish are welcome, and would be responsible for vital signs, phlebotomy and clerical work. Spanish­speaking volunteers would have the opportunity to do more in­depth work, such as providing counseling to persons with AIDS.

Hospice of Prince George's County
Provides a variety of services to terminally ill individuals, including: nursing, medical social work, respite care, emotional support, bereavement support. Volunteers needed in three areas: home care, office, and bereavement. Homecare volunteers work directly with the patients and families. Office volunteers perform administrative duties. Bereavement volunteers offer support through phone calls and support groups.

Project Champ/Children's National Medical Center
Addresses the needs of children and their families affected by HIV. Volunteers needed to become buddies with HIV-affected children. Volunteers can become involved in many ways: being a hospital buddy, clinic buddy, home buddy, assisting in organizing special events, or as an administrative buddy. Volunteers can also contribute to the Project Champ newsletter. Volunteers meet on a monthly basis to discuss their experiences.
