Summer Immersion in Mexico, Bolivia or Peru

Summer Immersion in Mexico, Bolivia or Peru

Students looking to spend this summer immersed within the local community of either Puebla, Mexico, Lima, Peru or La Paz, Bolivia for 4 weeks from May 18th to June 14th, 2008 may apply for the Indigenous Communities Immersion 2008.  Participants will practice speaking Spanish while learning about the economic, social, cultural, and environmental issues affecting various indigenous populations through close interactions and visits with residents, nonprofit organizations, and local experts.

          The Center for Social Justice (CSJ) with support from the Center for Latin American Studies (CLAS) and in partnership with Community Links International, offers this opportunity for undergraduate Georgetown University Students who have Spanish language proficiency.  For more information about Community Links please go to: http://www.commlinks.org.
